Best sauces

Did you know, that the Cranberry fruit season goes from September to the end of November in some parts of the World?

Why am I saying this?

Because, if you fancy making your own, and impressing your friends, just buy frozen or fresh cranberries. You’ll understand why we just love having this recipe on our table.

Also, it will be a great talking point during dinner.

How to Make Cranberry Sauce from Scratch

Let’s walk you through this recipe. It is so simple that you can make it in just 3 steps:

  • Grab your favorite saucepan, add 400-500 gm of frozen or fresh Cranberries,
  • turn to a medium heat for 2 minutes, then down to a slow simmer,
  • keep it going uncovered, stir occasionally until the coulis thickens.
  • cool down – Stir in additional sweetener to taste, then leave the cranberry sauce to cool. See below for easy serving suggestions.

See the recipe table below.

Ways to Enjoy your Cranberry Sauce

Here are just some of the main ways to enjoy it:

  • Roasts: spread it with your delicious turkey, beef, pork or chicken on a sandwich.
  • Stuffing: it pairs excellently well with Thanksgiving stuffing.
  • Bread: smooth it over warm rye bread.
  • Sweet: great on your oatmeal/porridge and/or baking.
